The Divine Cupcake - 'nuff said

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. It has been 3,650 days since my last confession. I have cheated on Vegan Cupcake Thursday. I made sweet love to a cupcake on a Wednesday. It took all of 1.2 minutes but the pleasure was sinfully delicious. He was a pumpkin flavored man with hair of caramel. But what really got me were those pumpkin seeds dangling in his hair. It was a Wednesday, I was in Plant Cafe and our eyes locked. He was the only one sitting their in the display. The temptation was so great, the last one left, but it's only Wednesday!! The devil made me do it Thursday, I swear. Father what is my penance? His reply, "Only the Divine Cupcake can absolve you of your sins my dear". The Divine Cupcake(?), I didn't know there was such a thing. So with a little poking around the Internet suddenly a bright light shone on my computer screen and a harp started to play in the background. Ahhh the Divine Cupcake, I see the light now.

Please meet the one and only Divine Cupcake. What an awesome shop, they sell mixes to make your very own cupcakes in their Etsy shop and they even have a retail shop in Eugene OR! Their Cupcakes can even be wheat free, gluten free, soy free and/or sugar free if need be.

When did you start your business and why did you decide to go into baking? We started the business in 2007, but I've been baking since I was a little kid. My husband and I wanted to start a business together that would be unique and fun, and cupcakes fit the bill! We have some great friends who have food carts, and that inspired the cupcake cart which is how we started selling cupcakes at various festivals and events. We didn't open our shop until March 2010.

What is your personal favorite cupcake to make? Lavender

What is your top selling cupcake? Chocolate-Chocolate

What is your happiest memory while eating cupcakes? When we first started the business, experimenting in our kitchen with various flavors was crazy fun, and we ate a lot of cupcakes!

Have you had any crazy requests from customers? Nothing too crazy just yet!

What do you like to do when you are not baking? Relax! I like to travel, and spend time with my friends/family.

Do you have any events coming up where you will be selling cupcakes? Just at the shop until spring when festival season starts up again.

Do you take special requests, do you ship out of state, and do you do large orders like for weddings? Yes, Yes and Yes! Orders can be placed by phone, in person or via online ordering system

What else do you sell in your shop? Lots of adorable things from various Etsy artists, Papaya!, Natural Life, Bella Cupcake Couture, and local NW artists.

Anything special you want to promote? Our cupcakes are all Organic and Vegan, and we strive to keep our business as green as possible. In our shop we also have a full organic espresso and tea menu that goes perfectly with cupcakes!
